The job at Birch Lane was a straightforward request on paper, but the turnaround was critical. The site ecologist needed accurate volume data for two stockpiles of contaminated earth — not at some point later in the week, but that same afternoon. The volumes would be used to cross-check findings from a previous excavation report, so the figures had to be precise.
Rather than put surveyors on uneven, potentially hazardous ground or tie up the site with manual measurements, drone surveying offered the quickest and safest route to a clear answer. Our role was to capture the data, process it, and deliver a verified set of volumes before the client logged off for the day.
